Inter-seminary Gathering in Bethlehem
On February 11 the Salesian brothers of the Ratisbonne, the White Father's of St. Anne's, the Franciscans of Flagellation and the diocesan seminarians of Bet Jala met at Salesian High school in Bethlehem. The event was one of the annual interseminary gatherings for those in the Holy Land. The meeting included sports, fraternity, prayer, dinner and entertainment.
Upon arriving everyone was greeted first by Fr. Mario Murru, Rector of the Salesian Community in Bethlehem, and then by the MC's for the day, Salesian Brs. Lorenzo and Gabriel. They invited everyone to join in various tournaments of basketball, football, ping-pong and billiards. Some visited the Nativity museum at the school.
All gathered again after the sports for Vespers. Fr. Caputa presided at Evening Prayer in honour of the dedication of the Co-Cathedral in Jerusalem.
After prayer all the seminarians enjoyed dinner together where they mingled, chatted and laughed. To conclude the day, Brs. Gabriel and Lorenzo hosted the soiree, where each seminary presented a variety of skits, songs, dances and group games.
