All courses are taught in English. The STS follows a two semester system (September–January and February-June). In addition to students who do the regular four-year degree programme, STS welcomes students who want to study a selection of courses in Theology.
The well furnished, computerised library contains over 35,000 volumes and 91 periodicals in various languages - the majority being in English, Italian and French.
The Studium Theologicum Salesianum carries on the academic tradition of the former Salesian Centre for Theological Studies established in Bethlehem (1929), then transferred to Tantur (1949), to Cremisan (1957) and to Jerusalem in September 2004.
The STS by enabling the study Theology in the Holy Land, together with the academic rigor of a Pontifical University, offers its academic community, a very unique opportunity.
