On this Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception the community celebrated with a couple special events.  The first was the Mass for the Solemnity.  The Salesian community joined the White Fathers at St. Anne's Church in the old city.  The Mass was celebrated in French with various songs in Swahili.  Some of the deacons and brothers of the Salesian community took part in serving the Mass. Afterwards there were refreshments. Representatives of the French embassy were also in attentadance.

In the afternoon the newly builld basketball-vollyball court behind the Ratisbonne Monastery was blessed.  To inaugerated the court the brothers organized a basketball tournament.  The teams were the various community groups (Sports Group, Cultural Group, Fraternal Group, Liturgy Group).  The winners were the true dark horse team of the Cultural Group.
