The community of Ratisbonne participated in vigil Masses around Jerusalem and Bethlehem.  In Jerusalem, some confreres attended Mass at St. Anne's Church, home of the White Fathers, some went to the Claritian Sisters.  A number of others helped to animate the Philippine Masses at the Ratisbonne monastery and at the Rosary Sisters.  Some brave students and faculty braved the long lines and restless crowds to attend Midnight Mass in Bethlehem with the Patriarch at St. Catherine's Church.  The Mass itself was very well prepared with the Office of Readings and carols sung prior to Mass with under the leadership of the Franciscans and the choir of St.Saviour.

Later in the morning after a few hours of sleep, the whole Salesian community gathered for a Mass together in the community chapel.  In the afternoon most of the Salesian community returned to Bethlehem for a community Mass in the manger grotto, marking the location tradition has indicated as the place of the Nativity.

The evening a Christmas dinner was prepared with all the trimmings.  Following dinner there was a soiree held in the refectory with Brs. Paolo, Virgile and Rooney playing the part of the Three Wise Men introducing a number of musical numbers performed by the confreres.
